Students at Jardín de America Spanish School have the option of living with a Guatemalan Family in Panajachel. This brings the additional opportunity to practice your Spanish on a daily basis. See and live the Guatemalan/Mayan way of living and give yourself the chance to get to know and understand the local culture. Our families are carefully selected, and used to have students from our school bevor. They can cater to any requests such as a vegetarian or dairy-free diet, and are aware of the need for cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation. Staying with a family enhances the total immersion into the Spanish language and is highly recommended. The opportunity to eat and converse with your host family is a perfect way to increase your vocabulary as well as practice what you learn every day.

Rooms at the School

Students at Jardin de America Spanish School have the option of living in one of our School Rooms in Panajachel, which are very comfortable and adapted to all your needs. See and live the Guatemalan/Mayan way of living, give yourself the chance to get to know and understand the local culture, while staying in a central location in Panajachel.

Home Stay Include

Private Room (for 1,2 or 3 persons) with private bathroom and hot water

3 meals a day, 6 days a week (Sundays is used by Mayan families, so food service is not available)

7 days stay

A clean and comfortable bed.

Pick Up at the Airport

Jardin de America is glad to pick you up from the airport in Guatemala City. We offer a secure and private transportation whenever your flight arrives (day or night) and bring you directly to the school, your home stay or the hotel you are staying.
